Our trip to England started on Monday morning. We met at 5:00 a.m. and left with the bus at 5:30. After a few breaks, we reached the ferry in the afternoon and later arrived in Margate. In the evening, we were picked up by our host families.
On Tuesday, we went to Canterbury. We had a guided city tour and afterwards some free time in small groups. We walked around, bought some things, and explored the town. In the afternoon, we went back to our host families.
Wednesday was our London day. We had to get up early because we left at 7:00 a.m. In London, we visited places like Buckingham Palace and Big Ben. Later we took the underground and went to Camden Town. In the evening, we returned to Margate.
On Thursday, we went to Hastings. We did a short walk along the coast and then visited a tea museum, where we had a traditional English tea time. After that, we had some free time to look around the town.
On Friday, we went to Dover. First, we visited an underground hospital from World War II and then Dover Castle. Later we walked to the cliffs by the sea, where we had time to enjoy the view and take pictures. In the evening, we took the ferry and started our journey back home.
We arrived back in Germany on Saturday morning around 8:30 a.m.
